Terms of Use

Last updated: October 29, 2026

1. The app

OwnWeek is an app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch that helps you plan time for your goals around your week. It is developed by Valentin Hamm (see the imprint). These terms apply to your use of OwnWeek.

2. Free during the beta

OwnWeek is free to use during the beta. If a paid option is introduced later, it will be announced on this website first, and nothing will be charged without your explicit purchase through the App Store.

3. Beta software, free of charge

OwnWeek is beta software and may contain errors. Plans and suggestions are aids, not advice; you decide how to spend your time. Because OwnWeek is provided free of charge, the statutory rules for gifts apply to defects: we are liable for a defect only if we fraudulently concealed it.

4. Your data

Your plan is stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. We do not hold a copy and cannot restore lost data. Details are in the privacy policy.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential obligation, limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for an app of this kind. An essential obligation is one whose fulfilment makes proper use of the app possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. Liability under the German Product Liability Act is not affected. Beyond this, liability is excluded. This also applies to the personal liability of our employees and agents.

6. Apple

OwnWeek is distributed through Apple's App Store and TestFlight. Apple's terms for those services apply in addition. Apple is not responsible for OwnWeek or its content.

7. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when a paid option is introduced. Changes are announced on this website before they take effect, and the date at the top shows the current version. The version in force at the time of use applies.

8. Law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in still apply.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@ownweek.app.
