Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

In short

  • OwnWeek has no account and no server of ours. We cannot see your plan.
  • Your plan is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud.
  • Calendar access is optional, read only and used on your device.
  • Planning suggestions are made on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere for them.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs.

Who is responsible

OwnWeek is developed by Valentin Hamm, an independent developer in Germany. The postal address is in the imprint. You can reach us at support@ownweek.app.

What OwnWeek stores, and where

OwnWeek stores your plan: your life areas, goals and their weekly targets, planned and finished sessions, routines, your work schedule and sleep times, and your settings.

This data is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for OwnWeek, it is also stored in your private iCloud database and in the iCloud key-value store, so your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch show the same plan. iCloud is operated by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy. The data sits in your Apple account, not in ours.

We run no server for OwnWeek. Nothing you enter is sent to us, and we have no way to see, read or restore your plan.

Calendar access

If you allow it, OwnWeek reads the events in your calendars so planned time stays clear of them. Access is read only: OwnWeek never creates, changes or deletes calendar events. The events are read on your device and are not sent anywhere. Access is only requested when you choose to connect your calendar, and you can revoke it at any time in the system Settings under Privacy & Security, Calendars.

Notifications and Live Activities

Reminders, notifications, widgets and Live Activities are scheduled and shown by your device. They are created locally and do not pass through any server of ours.

On-device planning

"Plan my day" and "Plan my week" propose sessions on your device. On iOS 26 and later, OwnWeek can use Apple's on-device Foundation Models for this; on earlier versions, fixed placement rules decide. In both cases the planning happens entirely on your device, and no plan data leaves it for this purpose.

Crash reports

OwnWeek contains no crash reporting or diagnostics SDK. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may pass anonymized crash reports to us. Whether this happens is your choice in the system Settings, and Apple anonymizes the reports before we receive them.

No analytics, tracking or ads

OwnWeek collects no usage data, contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites. The App Store privacy label for OwnWeek is "Data Not Collected".

This website

ownweek.app sets no cookies except one that remembers your language choice, and the same choice in your browser's local storage. It loads nothing from third parties: fonts, images and scripts are served from this domain, and there are no analytics, trackers or embeds. Like every web server, our host processes your IP address to deliver the pages, and may keep it in short-lived server logs for security and operation.

Deleting your data

To delete your plan from a device, delete the app. To delete the copy in iCloud, open the system Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then the storage overview, choose OwnWeek and delete its data. On a Mac, the same option is in System Settings under your Apple Account, iCloud. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

OwnWeek collects no personal data from anyone, and therefore none from children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete personal data and to complain to a supervisory authority. Since we do not process personal data from the app, there is usually nothing for us to provide, but we will answer every request at support@ownweek.app.

Changes to this policy

If OwnWeek's handling of data changes, this page is updated before or with the app release that changes it, and the date at the top changes with it.
